Good to know
What do PrioSense and Target Blu Eye have in common?
Both are in-car receivers that warn you with a screen and sound. We don't know how Target Blu Eye works inside. PrioSense only measures how strong the signals in the TETRA band are and doesn't look for a rhythm or repetition.
Why is PrioSense cheaper?
We sell PrioSense directly, with no shop or installer in between, and it's made to fit yourself: suction cup on the windscreen, plug in USB-C, done. You pay €399, once, with no subscription.
Does PrioSense work just as well?
We haven't tested them side by side, so we don't promise that. In our own tests PrioSense noticed emergency services at about 300 to 500 metres in town, and up to about 1.5 kilometres on the motorway.
How is installation different?
Target Blu Eye is often fitted by an installer. You put PrioSense on your windscreen yourself with the included suction mount and plug it into USB-C, from your car or a power bank.
Isn't an app like Flitsmeister enough?
Flitsmeister warns about ambulances that share their location through the system. PrioSense measures the radio traffic in the emergency services band itself, so police and fire brigade too, and needs no phone or internet. They also work fine side by side.
